We cater for various individual styles and interests, offering our customers a large range of designs to choose from.
I lived in Berkshire, where I started a family. When my children were small I had great difficulty finding greeting cards celebrating their birthdays and milestones, so I decided to make my own. As my son and daughter grew older, I was happy to see multicultural cards available but I was still having difficulty finding cards to suit their personality, interests, passion and culture. With the encouragement of family and friends, my designs and ranges of cards developed.
I moved to Liverpool in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the city’s diversity, creativity and multiculturalism. I visited the International Slavery Museum at Merseyside Maritime Museum and was blown away and touched at what was in front of me. It was empowering to see a city with a dedicated museum exhibiting and showing the world the poignant culture and history of the transatlantic slave trade, along with the legacy of slavery and current human right issues.
I identified a gap in the market for cards like the ones I made and felt Liverpool offered me a great opportunity to go into business. I wanted to celebrate the unique culture of this fabulous city and promote the awareness of Black History. Inspired by this, Razammataz was formed in 2014. I developed my designs into fridge magnets, stationery, prints and calendars, as well as greeting cards.
Along with my Black History and African American cards, I have also designed a range of Inspirational cards celebrating others from different races and cultures that have played a part in eradicating injustice and promoting civil rights and equality, as well as people who inspire and empower others on a personal level.
The Merseyside Maritime Museum Shop was the first outlet for my products and since then the business has grown. I have a growing number of independent stockists across the UK such as
